Jan 3rd 2006 - Berlitz Brighton under New Management
On December 20th 2005 Berlitz’s Brighton school was acquired by Brighton Language College Ltd, part of the Golders Hill School Group, a well-established independent pre-prep schools group based in north London.
Jonathan Richards the new Director of Berlitz Brighton commented, “We have long wanted to take advantage of our group’s international connections through the acquisition of a language school. We are confident of the long-term strength of the language study market, however our business has the added advantage of being able to offer foreign language training, and translation services, cushioning us against any downturn in the study abroad market. Berlitz is a well-respected name internationally, particularly in those markets, which we plan to target. Additionally Brighton is a well-known, popular destination with both students and agents. With aggressive marketing - especially in those territories that have not been a traditional strength of this centre – price revisions, and new management, we feel certain that we can significantly grow student numbers.”
