Junior Residential & Homestay Courses (July 15th - August 26th 2007)
In 2007 we have 6 weeks of English and activity courses for 8-18 year olds this summer. There are homestay (Brighton or Burgess Hill) or residential accommodation in our country manor house schools (West Hill Park or Burgess Hill).

Enjoy 3 hours of English study every morning (Mon-Fri) with our great teaching team, followed by a fun afternoon programme and amazing evening activities. Take a look at our wonderful summer brochure.
Choose from our Berlitz Junior Residential course, on campus living in a fun mixed international community, or the Berlitz Junior Homestay course where you experience British life by living with a carefully selected local family. Both courses offer the same high standards of English study and an action packed schedule of summer afternoon activities.

Students are given a level test when they arrive and a leaving test at the end to show their improvement. Students with a similar English level, from different countries study in each class. There are a maximum of 15 students in each class. English lessons cover the four skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) but focus on speaking and communication to reinforce grammar and vocabulary.

In class students study English in a communicative and pro-active way – using role play, real life situations and authentic study materials. Afternoons are packed with fun activities such as juggling, swimming, tennis, volleyball, digital photography, football, bowling and basketball.

Every week we have one afternoon trip to local places of interest, such as Eastbourne, Hastings or Brighton and every Saturday there is a 1 day tour to places further away such as magnificent London, mysterious Stonehenge or historic Bath.
Both courses are packages, so all tuition, study materials (loaned basis), accommodation, excursions, activities, airport transfers (Sunday coach service) and three meals daily are all included. (Insurance and pocket money are not included.)
Berlitz Junior Residential (8-18 years old)
Our course for students 14-17 is held at Burgess Hill School for Girls, just 15 minutes from central Brighton. Our course for students 8-13 is held at West Hill Park School. We provide a safe and caring environment and 24 hour onsite support with our qualified teaching, welfare and sports activity staff - your children are always being well looked after. The comfortable bedrooms are single sex, each having single beds, storage and study areas and are usually shared by 3-4 students of different nationalities.
Students eat their meals in the modern dining area and the school boasts extensive gardens, fields and fully equipped student common rooms.
Berlitz Junior homestay (13-18 years old)
Older students can choose homestay as an accommodation option. Studying with a British family gives you the opportunity to immerse yourself in British family culture and life, giving you many more chances to use what you have learned in the classroom.
All our warm and welcoming local families have been personally interviewed by our staff and are regularly inspected to ensure our standards are met. Students share a room with a similar aged student of the same sex, and have full use of all the family facilities. Homestay families are no further than 30 minutes away from the school under normal traffic conditions.
